THE ARCHAIC PREDATOR
The Italic Pike, also known as "Esox Flaviae" or "Esox Cisalpinus" is an archaic predator very well know since the Ancient Roman times and before.
After several studies, it has been found to have a completely different DNA compared to all the pike studied since then.
The specimen are big, healthy and powerful, full of oxigen and it is not rare the encounter with the "Big Mama" over one metre long, healthy, fat and... toothy!!!
Lure Fishing (Spinning, but also Casting and Trolling) are the most productive methods, due to the depth of the lake.
Fly Fishing outfits will be always on the boat though, especially to tackle best drop-offs where the Pike might pray among the weed or looking up. It is also a great method if you want to have fun catching the acrobatic Largemouth Bass or the avid Asp.
A BLUE WATER PARADISE
The volcanic lakes around Rome can trace their origins back to the intense volcanic activity that took place in the area between 40,000 and 60,000 years ago. Spring fed, they represents the biggest resource for potable water for Rome, which is just a 40/50 minutes to 1 hour and half drive away. Waters are famous to be completely transparent and crystal-clear, so clear to make you feel you are sailing on a caraibic island.
In addition to those, we offer a wide range of waters including Reservoirs to pick the best spot according to the weather/water condition and fish activity.
